Rand & Fowler Insurance

In the late 1800’s, Charles D. Rand was a leading figure in shaping the beginnings of Vancouver. He founded Rand Brothers Real Estate at 100 Cordova Street and were the main brokers who dealt with the dividing and selling of Vancouver’s land. Rand Brothers was also the publisher of land survey maps for new districts and cities. The company had two other local offices, one on Granville Street and one in New Westminster and one overseas office in London, England at 107 Cannon Street.

During this time, Rand Brothers also operated as financial agents and insurance agents. The first insurance company they represented was London’s Commercial Union Assurance Company.

The original company Rand Brothers is now Rand & Fowler Insurance and operates in 5 locations throughout the Lower Mainland. There are only a handful of insurance companies that have survived more than a century and we are proud to continue Charles D. Rand’s vision of offering British Columbians, the best markets for their insurance needs.
